Autumn Nomad Cafe

Nestled at the base of Mount Washington, Jackson New Hampshire is a gem in the north country. While many New Hampshire locals flock to this area for the ski slopes, hiking trails, and the town's many cozy inns - there are also some great spots to escape from the cold and grab a bite to eat.

This past weekend, I stopped into one of the town's newest editions - The Autumn Nomad Cafe. Tucked in the heart of Jackson Village, this cafe is a must-see on your next trip to the mountains.

Every visitor is greeted by the cafe's mascot, a darling golden retriever who will happily sit by your side as you sip a coffee. Don't worry if she doesn't head over to you right away - as soon as you get your meal, you'll find that you have a new best friend.

The cafe has multiple nooks that are prefect for hiding away with a cup of coffee on a rainy November day. With lots of plants, pillows and a homey feel - you'll have no problem reading a good book or starting your next knitting project.

Known locally as one of the best wedding cake bakeries in Northern New Hampshire, many of their creations are on display. They also have a beautiful Instagram that showcases some of their work - it's definitely worth a scroll as you wait for your latte.

They serve both lunch and breakfast, but I opted for a blueberry muffin and the local maple latte.  Drizzled with maple syrup, it was a perfect way to take a break from the cold weather and enjoy some peaceful time up north.
